The home is the oldest organization known to man and is the very foundation of our society. God created marriage and based it on the relationship that Jesus Christ has with the church. The original concept of marriage was built around the divine union of a man and a woman who loved each other and became one in spirit. The other institution that God gave the family is the human government. When these are broken society will fall apart. Unfortunately for all of us, Satan and his cohorts have attacked our families from every angle. Divorce, drugs, alcohol, sexual perversion, abortion and our own government has wreaked total havoc on our lives. The family as God intended it has been virtually destroyed. These cold hard facts of our lifestyles are living proof that this country has gone awry:
- A person is murdered every 34 minutes.
- A woman is raped every 9 minutes.
- 3 babies are aborted every minute.
- There is a violent crime every 5 seconds.
- The murder rate for males 18—24 is the highest in the world, including all the wars occurring at this time.
All this from a country that is trying to dictate its policies and values to the rest of the globe. We are in really deep trouble.
The only thing I know to do is to turn our families upside down. I’m calling out all kids in Christ to stand up and fight, fight for your very lives, our sanity and the self respect
We have to take back our families. Go to your Mom and Dad and tell them you want to go to church on Sunday and you want them to come with you. That you are tired of the dysfunctional life that we have being living. Tell your parents you want to start having family meals together, Bible study and family gatherings where you go and do things as a family unit. We want to be a disciplined family that is approved of by the eyes of God and that is respected by our neighbors as a Christian family that regardless of how tough times get we do what is honest and right .
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your Father and Mother ; ( which is the first commandment with promise;) so that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth. Parents, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” Ephesians 6-1-4 Scofield
If in anyway you have hurt the feelings of one of your family members, or if in anyway one of your family members have hurt you, go to them now. Tell them you are sorry for the way you acted or tell them you forgive them and you love them. “For if you forgive others, then your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” Mathew 6:14 NKJV. Don’t let any animosity stand between you and a family member. Talk things over and while you have their attention share with them you new found relationship with Jesus Christ. My beloved children of God, do not be afraid. All you have to do is take the first step, say the first few words and the Holy Spirit that resides in your heart will do the rest. Trust in Him.
